Bulletin 4 and new map of embargoed areas

Now we have published Bulletin 4 but also a new map Embargoed areas on IOF Eventor.

We want you to notice that the road to Nipfjällsstugan (through Gammelsätervallen and the border line in the West of the Model Event map) is closed between 10am 11 August until 6pm 12 August 2021.
So, if you want to drop your athletes in the northern part of the Model Event area you have to do it before 10am 11 August 2021.
The road is open again from 6pm Thursday 12 August.

To add regarding Embargoed areas. At Gränjesåsvallen the embargoed area border must be followed. That means for example that the public parking lot Städjan is not allowed to use because it is inside the embargoed area.

We have also provided films from all roads where you can see how it looks when driving the roads in our competition areas.

Speakers Corner #12 Gustav Bergman

Gustav Bergman is the reigning overall World Cup winner since the season 2019. He has been one of the best orienteers in the world the last decade.
He is driven by his love to the sport he says;
– I´m not driven by results but more by finding the feeling and flow in the woods, Gustav says.
Gustav Bergman is a World Champion twice, both in realy (2014 and 2019) and at both occasions he was running the anchor leg.
– It is something special to run the last leg, I really like it, Gustav Bergman tells Per Forsberg.

Speakers Corner #11 Sabine Hauswirth

In Speakers Corner #11 you meet Sabine Hauswirth from Switzerland and she speaks about the very special year of 2020.
– Yes, it was very special, particularly when you don’t know what will happen in the near future, she says.

Sabine has been a part of the Swiss team for some years now and remembers both ups and downs in this meeting with Per Forsberg. Now she’s working at the same time as she´s trying to focus on orienteering. Not an easy task every day.
